Alan started out in the building industry in 1986 as a apprentice with the Queensland Masterbuilders Association. After completing his apprenticeship Alan went out on his own as a subcontractor.

In 1993 he received his BSA licence and commenced work as a registered builder and has been so eversince. In 2006 QLD Builders was established and since then business has become a thriving and successful Brisbane building company.

Alan specialises in difficult job sites, he is one of the few contractors in Brisbane that will engage in some of the really difficult and hard to get at places in the Brisbane CBD, places that no other builder will even look at.
